…And they think they’re the good guys? At what point do people look at all the horrible shit they’ve done and start to wonder if maybe they’re actually just monsters?
hey lets be honest most people use religion as a crutch to either make themselves feel better or pass judgement on others. its so easy to justify your negativity with a ambiguous book that its sick
Caleb, you DO realize that THIS is a work of fiction, right? It no more negates my belief in the bible than it does my belief that Batman is a real guy in a cave somewhere. As for “most people” using religion as a crutch…yep. THat’s exactly what it is. And thank God I’ve got that crutch. You are passing judgement on the very people you slander for…passing judgement. Sounds like you could use a little of that moral tolerance you think you have.
Maybe the Texan has a Nobel Peace Prize. With that kind of moral credit, you can do a lot of pure evil shit in the name of “fighting evil” while imagining yourself to be the good guy.
The problem when you think that you’re the good guys is that you don’t feel the need to read things like the evil overlord list… Sigh, killing a guy who was doing is job somewhat right and just happened to be handed wrong infos because you don’t want to acknowledge that your son screwed up… if I was the Texan I would have put a bullet in Kurt’s head a long time ago and tried to have a son who wouldn’t end up as an homicidal maniac.
Oh, it appears like the Texan was perfectly fine with grooming a homicidal maniac. The problem is that he is dumb. And makes him only suitable as a pet rather than a successor. It’s unlikely he’ll outlive his father significantly even if it isn’t the Texan himself who puts him down.

That my friend is why religious fanatics make such good villains. They believe that they can do no evil, so long as it is for a divine purpose

You mean like drone strike women and children in a country you haven’t declared war on?
Clancy was trying to keep these whack jobs in line. I fear all Hell breaking loose.
