I really hope that he explains why God, in a thousand years, hasn’t just sent an Angel down to protect the mothers of the second coming. I have a few theories on why those guys are sent to kill these women, but no real idea why God himself wouldn’t make sure the women were protected by his own soldiers.
I think these ARE guardian angels, Shadow. I like the idea that God wouldn’t just send a stereotypical “angel” , he’d work through people. The bible says a lot of similar things if I recall.
Another great page.

After 1000 years of unsuccessful attempts at bringing the second coming to Earth, I’d think God would change strategy.
Or maybe the point is that it’s up to the people on earth when the new Son of God would be born.
Unless I forget, the whole point behind the bible is free will. The ability to choose. And part of free will is the consequences that come thereof.
And God apparently being stubborn enough that not even 1000 years of failure will deter him from the one moment of success being sought out.
Just a theory from an analytical perspective.
Another theory from an analytical perspective would be the elephant in the room:
God’s an a-hole and likes to watch people suffer and die.
Other than that … nice webcomic 🙂
Nice page and drama.
